Randy Orton def. Edge & Ted DiBiase in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match
While the odds were against him, Randy Orton somehow managed to slither out of Pittsburgh’s Mellon Arena with a huge win. After orders from Raw’s new General Manager, Vickie Guerrero, The Viper was forced to compete in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against Edge and The Rated-R Superstar’s hand-picked partner, Ted DiBiase. During the bout, Orton capitalized on a distraction from R-Truth, who gleefully watched as his tormentor DiBiase suffered the pin.

The drama continued to unfold as Orton trained his fury on Guerrero. Before he could sink his fangs into her, however, she frantically resigned her post as Raw GM. While Vickie scampered away, Edge tried to sneak up on his former Rated-RKO partner, but WWE’s Apex Predator turned the tables and leveled The Ultimate Opportunist with a ruinous RKO – the second in two weeks – outside of the ring.

Mark Henry vs. Batista ended in a No Contest
Batista’s rage wouldn’t allow him to wait. Before his opponent, Mark Henry, even entered the ring, The Animal attacked. Undoubtedly feeding off of Henry’s earlier assistance in helping WWE Champion John Cena, Batista punished The World’s Strongest Man, making him tap out in pain. The sadistic showcase proved a clear message to The Champ: If I can make The World’s Strongest Man tap out, I can make you say, “I quit.”

WWE Champion John Cena announced “I Quit” Title Match at Over the Limit
After being attacked last week by Sheamus before he could announce the stipulations for his WWE Title Match against Batista at Over the Limit, John Cena was determined to cut to the chase. The championship bout will be an “I Quit” Match, meaning, to win, a Superstar must punish his opponent enough to make them say, “I quit.”

After the announcement, The Champ called out The Celtic Warrior to avenge his ambush from a week earlier. As Sheamus approached the ring, The Animal slipped in as well, and the two powerhouses double-teamed their rival. Before medical personnel were needed, Mark Henry raced to Cena’s rescue and chased off his attackers.

For John Cena, life can’t get much better.

After all, he’s one of the biggest superstars in the WWE. He’s become the industry’s next big movie star with movies like 12 Rounds filmed right here in New Orleans.

But first and foremost, Cena is an athlete.

"I train like an athlete," Cena, 33, told FOX 8 Sports. "I train to perform like an athlete."

And to help him do that, Cena travels across the Crescent City Connection to Westbank Athletic Club in Terrytown. It’s a small locally owned facility that really doesn’t look like much on the surface but has a very unique style. Here they specialize in training methods not seen many other places in the world.

"The guys at Westbank Athletic Club are just brave enough to say this is a tried and true method that works," Cena said. "And that’s what I like about this place. I train at gyms all over the world and they are so lackluster that I even built my own gym at home, because I want to go that extra mile. This place not only has the mix to show someone the introduction to fitness, it has a vibe about it where I can walk in here and push myself knowing that I want to be stronger than when I came in here."

And when he’s here, other members said he’s not John Cena the WWE superstar. He’s John Cena, another athlete trying to get himself in shape.

Edge hosted “The Cutting Edge” with guests Wayne Brady and Randy Orton
Edge’s first order of business upon opening his talk show, “The Cutting Edge,” was to explain why he Speared Randy Orton last week during the No. 1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match. He told the audience that he wanted to make Raw his show, just like he had done with SmackDown. Good start.

The Rated-R Superstar then introduced Raw’s special guest host Wayne Brady, who discussed his game show Let’s Make a Deal and his new stage show in Las Vegas. Before the segment ended, Orton interrupted. The Viper slithered into the ring and leveled Brady with an RKO. He then listened as The Ultimate Opportunist tried to talk him into reforming their dominating partnership, Rated-RKO. When Orton appeared indifferent, Edge became irate.

Tensions flared and Orton tried to capitalize with an RKO. Edge fought him off and set up for a Spear, but The Viper quickly struck, leaving his former tag team partner on the canvas in the wake of a vengeful RKO.

WWE Champion John Cena def. Wade Barrett
Batista had arranged for WWE Champion John Cena to compete against Chris Jericho in a Beat the Clock Challenge. After witnessing how The Miz handled his earlier scheduled match with Batista, Jericho hewed close to that route. Instead of a doctor's note, the self-important Superstar claimed the match would be a waste of his time and recruited his NXT Rookie Wade Barrett to tackle the challenge of The Champ.

While Barrett proved a worthy competitor, Cena managed to defeat him seconds shy of Batista’s posted time, allowing The Champ to name the championship match stipulation. Before he could, however, Sheamus thundered into the ring and attacked, leaving Cena flat on the mat.

Batista def. Daniel Bryan
Rather than face Batista in a Beat the Clock Challenge, The Miz actually brought a doctor’s note excusing him from competition. To increase his lame factor, The Cleveland Screamer then sent his NXT Rookie, Daniel Bryan, to take his place. While The Animal may have relished the thought, Bryan put up an impressive fight, lasting 5:06 before being pinned.
